Merry Christmas! 2008

We hope everyone had as a Wonderful Christmas Season as we did!
Christmas time is always so magical and I am so grateful for my little kids that make this time of year so much fun!
I haven't been very good at posting or taking pictures this past month or so. But we thought we would share some of the highlights that we did capture:
I couldn't find Emilee's picture of her sitting on Santa's lap but look how cute she looks on Archie the Elf's knee. (Bret you are a one of a kind uncle and we love you!)

All Smiles this year!

Christmas Eve Morning

Christmas Eve Night
Thanks Mom and Dad for making the night so perfect!
Have you ever seen such a beautiful little Mary?

Emilee and Jenny sang as part of annual Nativity Program.

The kids dancing with Archie the Elf.

Christmas Morning Abbie was thrilled to get her very own Karaoke machine. She sings a mean High School Musical Solo! ( And Look- She lost her first tooth.)

This is how we spent most of Christmas Day. We never knew how much fun guitar hero was. The whole family sang and played along all day.
(The only trick is to talk our dad into letting us have a turn!)

Wish I had my camera for our annual Christmas Breakfast at Grandma & Grandpa Miller's. It wouldn't be Christmas without their yummy breakfast. The kids loved their Christmas Jammies and we love all being together.

Jason's Little Chirstmas Project

There is something about Christmas Time that Jason seems to always get a wild hair and starts up some major project. We moved into this house on December 23rd, 7 years ago which made for a memorable and busy Christmas Season. Last Year he decided to start finishing our basement through the Christmas Holidays and this year he did a little remodeling on our family room. The Day after Thanksgiving he started tearing down walls, took out our fireplace and built- in t.v. out and started a BIG MESS! Thank heavens he works fast and had us back to normal again in just 10 days. There is nothing like having workers in your house round the clock and having the whole house masked off while trying to get through the business of the holidays. Can you imagine a BIG pregnant lady going in and out of the house through the basement window well?
The highlight was getting kicked out of our house for a night while the painters were there and staying up at a Hotel in Salt Lake all together. We got to see the Christmas Lights, swim and make a memorable night out of it.

Grandpa Miller came over for the first day of demo and joined in on the fun. I love to watch these two work together because they both like to be the one in charge.

We had a lot of good help as you can see. Bashing the walls with permission.

It became a neighborhood effort to help get our house back together as soon as possible. Ray was here for several nights in a row until 1:00 a.m. helping with all of his expertise. Thank you Darrin, Chris, Dan, everyone that spent late nights working to help us!!! I had more fun sitting back and listening to them laugh and crack jokes all night as they all worked. THANK YOU GUYS!!
All in all it was worth it! I have to admit our house does look better!

A Day with My Dad!!

Max got to skip school on Friday and spend a full day with his Dad Pheasant Hunting. It was a day to remember! Max got to shoot the shotgun, play with the hunting dogs, and wasn't afraid to pick up the birds and bring them back. Every time Max would call me he would tell me how much fun they were having together. And when they got home they were both all smiles. That night Jason kept telling me how much he loved his Max and how lucky he was to have him for his son.
I am so glad that my two boys have each other!

More Halloween!

Just a few more pictures of our fun Halloween. As you can see our Dad knows just how to carve the perfect jack-o-lantern. The kids had a great time at their school parade and parties. And we had a lot of fun out trick or treating on such a warm night!
It is great to be a kid!

Now what are we going to do with all of that candy? I won't be able to sleep at night until it is all gone. Lucy eats in for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Clark Halloween Party

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
We had our FUN annual party up at Wallsburg with my family. The only problem was half of them were missing. We missed the Clarks because they were sick, the Thompsons are in Florida and Matt had to work. Thank heavens the Heaps are close by!!! It's always a party when Jamie and her family are there! We sure missed the rest of you!!!

Lucy did not like our costumes!! She told me "I don't want you to be her!" I said "who do you want me to be?" She said, "Tinkerbell or someone else!" Then once she saw her Dad she was scared to death. The whole ride in the car she kept saying I don't like my Dad's black hair!!

We had Miss America there. And a mighty pretty one I must say!
Our Little Cowgirl who fit right in up at Grandpa's!And our Little Baby.
I tried to talk Lucy into being a princess, a witch, I even bought her a pink cowboy hat too. But nope!! She wanted to be a baby! She is holding on to the idea of her being the baby of the family. I'm not sure she likes the idea of being bumped out of that spot. And of course she will do anything to talk her mom into a binki and a ba-ba. Now the trick is getting rid of it AGAIN after Halloween is over. What a tough football player!! Max wanted to be Max Hall this year.
Thank Heavens for such cute cousins!
There is something about Grandpa that my kids just LOVE!! They always find their way on his lap and Em is always trying to get her back tickled by him.

It wouldn't be a party without some fun games. This is the kids playing with their play dough after the fish pond and the donut game is always the best part of the night!

There is something so great about going home! Even though it isn't the house I grew up in, everytime I go up to my parents home I love the feeling there! My mom always has the house so cute and decorated festive, the food is always soo yummy, and the their home just has this great feeling there. I know it has a lot to do with it being filled with the people I love!! There is nothing better than spending time with my family! If you know my mom you will know that she has this radiant spirit and happiness with her always. I think wherever she is, that feeling follows.

I love these two!
My dad sporting several different costumes throughout the night.

Always the best being at Grandma's & Grandpa's!!

Life is great when you have someone you love to share it with!!!
I love you Jay!!!

Jamie is the Halloween Queen. She always goes all out when it comes to costumes!

Pray for Jane!

My good friends, Christy and Sean's little girl, Jane, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. Their family is on my mind everyday! Christy has been one of my best friends since we were 3 years old and we have gone through every stage of life together. From riding the kindergarten bus together, graduating from high school, getting married 1 month apart, and having all of our children close together. (Christy just had her 5th baby which makes 4 girls and 1 boy) My heart goes out to their family! Please remember Jane and the Brown family in your thoughts in prayers!!!

A little UEA Fun!

Because Jason was kinda a party pooper about going out of town this weekend he promised to take the kids to Lagoon.
This picture of Grandpa Miller just sums up the day! We had a GREAT time!!!

Jason and Uncle Tay won everybody hats by playing the game to see how fast you can throw a baseball. As you can see we have some pitching talent in the family!

Grandma and Grandpa Miller are always good sports.
We love you!

My little Sunshine's different moods for the day. Her reaction to getting off the Colosus, waiting patiently to go to her aunt Jamie's big party, and after her uncle Taylor won her her very own A's hat. LOVE THIS GIRL!!!

Lucy, Ellie, & Sophie
I was wishing there was room in the wagon for me too!!!!

Happy Birthday BQ!!

My three cute little bumblebees!!

What a fun day! I hadn't been to Lagoon since I graduated from high school. We will be making it back there sometime again soon!
