In Memory of our Beloved Prophet

What an incredible man! What an inspiring Leader! President Hinckley was a Prophet of God. He was so kind and full of love and yet so strong and unwavering. He was such an example to me. He has dedicated his whole life to serving our church and has helped spread the gospel worldwide. He will always be remembered for his love and desire to build temples across the world, for his happy and fun loving sense of humor, & for his strong testimony and love he had for the Prophet Joseph Smith. I will never forget his last conference talk and the powerful testimony he bore of the restoration of this church. I know he was a true prophet called to lead our Church today. I am grateful for his sacrifice and the way he lived his life. I am grateful for his guidance, counsel, and his wisdom. I am happy to know that he is back home again with his wife. Hopefully he gets a chance to rest a bit, he deserves it! We love you President Hinckley!

Our Basement is finished!

I have always loved my boy in a tool belt!

This is what Jason has been busy doing the past few months. He has has worked a billion hours and had many LATE nights as he has been finishing our basement. And when Jason has a late night that means that I do too. Even though I don't do much to help he makes me stay down by him to keep him company. Every night after he is finished with everything else.. (work, church, basketball, etc) he heads down for a few more hours of work. Ever since I met Jason I've known what an awesome craftsman and worker he was. In High School he built me a cedar chest & his Mom their kitchen cabinets in their house. He has always loved to work with his hands but I was actually amazed every night as I watched him work down stairs. There is nothing he can't do. Thank you Jason for all of your hard work. We love having the extra space!!!

This handrail on the stairs will always be looked at with appreciation. I think it took him 300 hours to get just perfect.

Max & Em love their new bedrooms! We miss them up stairs by us.

Look who is potty trained!

Atleast one of my new year's resolutions will get accomplished this year.
Lucy is offically a "big girl!"
Sometimes the things we are dreading the most don't turn out to be so hard after all.
It took Lucy about two days to master the potty. She hasn't had an accident since.
As you can see she changes her panties several times a day just for the fun of a new pair and she has to put them on all by herself. She usually likes to wear her big sister's best.
Tonight she came down the stairs 3 times after I tucked her into bed to tell me that she had to go potty. She knows that, that excuse works every time. After I told her that she couldn't go to the bathroom one more time tonight, she came down again and told me that she needed to do her homework. I wanted to get so mad at her, but decided to take a deep breath and help her with her important homework. (We read a book together) She is finally back in bed and I have my fingers crossed that I don't hear her little footprints again until morning. But I know better, she usually wakes up 3-4 times a night and comes and climbs in next to me. Once she is back to sleep I carry her back to her bed. Lucy is now sleeping with Abbie since we moved Emilee and Max down in the basement. Twice last night Lucy found her way down both flights of stairs to the basesment in the dark to get in bed with Emilee. They have been bed partners for so long that she misses her big sister. Em only has a single bed now and there isn't room for them both. So Emilee walked Lucy back up the stairs both times half a sleep and told her to stay in her bed.! Atleast she wasn't waking me up for a change.

Dance Concert

It is so fun to have both of my girls dancing together. They always look forward to the night they can be on stage! They had their benefit concert this weekend and they both looked so cute and did such a fabulous job! Abbie's darling Kindergarten teacher came to watch her and brought her this cute flower. Thank you Miss Howell!!!

The best part of dancing at Sudio 1 is that the the girls get to dance with their cousins!!!

This is Emilee's dance company- "Extreme"

Getting ready for the big night Lucy knew that she was missing out on something. While I was doing the girls hair and make up she decided to do hers too. She dumped shampoo in her hair and put all kinds of lotion and goop all over her face. It won't be long until she will be dancing with them. She learned a lot of Abbie's dance and likes to practice it with her.

Abbie & Brytee

Em's two best friends from school, Ashley and Dresden.
