Clark Halloween Party

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
We had our FUN annual party up at Wallsburg with my family. The only problem was half of them were missing. We missed the Clarks because they were sick, the Thompsons are in Florida and Matt had to work. Thank heavens the Heaps are close by!!! It's always a party when Jamie and her family are there! We sure missed the rest of you!!!

Lucy did not like our costumes!! She told me "I don't want you to be her!" I said "who do you want me to be?" She said, "Tinkerbell or someone else!" Then once she saw her Dad she was scared to death. The whole ride in the car she kept saying I don't like my Dad's black hair!!

We had Miss America there. And a mighty pretty one I must say!
Our Little Cowgirl who fit right in up at Grandpa's!And our Little Baby.
I tried to talk Lucy into being a princess, a witch, I even bought her a pink cowboy hat too. But nope!! She wanted to be a baby! She is holding on to the idea of her being the baby of the family. I'm not sure she likes the idea of being bumped out of that spot. And of course she will do anything to talk her mom into a binki and a ba-ba. Now the trick is getting rid of it AGAIN after Halloween is over. What a tough football player!! Max wanted to be Max Hall this year.
Thank Heavens for such cute cousins!
There is something about Grandpa that my kids just LOVE!! They always find their way on his lap and Em is always trying to get her back tickled by him.

It wouldn't be a party without some fun games. This is the kids playing with their play dough after the fish pond and the donut game is always the best part of the night!

There is something so great about going home! Even though it isn't the house I grew up in, everytime I go up to my parents home I love the feeling there! My mom always has the house so cute and decorated festive, the food is always soo yummy, and the their home just has this great feeling there. I know it has a lot to do with it being filled with the people I love!! There is nothing better than spending time with my family! If you know my mom you will know that she has this radiant spirit and happiness with her always. I think wherever she is, that feeling follows.

I love these two!
My dad sporting several different costumes throughout the night.

Always the best being at Grandma's & Grandpa's!!

Life is great when you have someone you love to share it with!!!
I love you Jay!!!

Jamie is the Halloween Queen. She always goes all out when it comes to costumes!

Pray for Jane!

My good friends, Christy and Sean's little girl, Jane, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. Their family is on my mind everyday! Christy has been one of my best friends since we were 3 years old and we have gone through every stage of life together. From riding the kindergarten bus together, graduating from high school, getting married 1 month apart, and having all of our children close together. (Christy just had her 5th baby which makes 4 girls and 1 boy) My heart goes out to their family! Please remember Jane and the Brown family in your thoughts in prayers!!!

A little UEA Fun!

Because Jason was kinda a party pooper about going out of town this weekend he promised to take the kids to Lagoon.
This picture of Grandpa Miller just sums up the day! We had a GREAT time!!!

Jason and Uncle Tay won everybody hats by playing the game to see how fast you can throw a baseball. As you can see we have some pitching talent in the family!

Grandma and Grandpa Miller are always good sports.
We love you!

My little Sunshine's different moods for the day. Her reaction to getting off the Colosus, waiting patiently to go to her aunt Jamie's big party, and after her uncle Taylor won her her very own A's hat. LOVE THIS GIRL!!!

Lucy, Ellie, & Sophie
I was wishing there was room in the wagon for me too!!!!

Happy Birthday BQ!!

My three cute little bumblebees!!

What a fun day! I hadn't been to Lagoon since I graduated from high school. We will be making it back there sometime again soon!

Viking Football

My two boys after another fun filled football season! Even though we got JIPPED out of our post season playoff games we had a great season from start to finish. Jason got to coach Max this year & I'm not sure which one had more fun. Max loves having his Dad as his coach!! (except when he makes him run too much) and Jason loved to spend every night with his boy.

Max we are glad we have our little football player in our family! You did so great this year and most importantly always tried your best!!

As you can see the whole family gets into the Viking Spirit. Emilee loves to go to the games as much as me! She likes to wear her brothers jersey and cheer and yell the whole game. I can often hear Lucy yelling "You Rock Max!" from the sidelines. Thats one of the perks of being the only boy in our family. He will always have plenty of cheerleaders! One of the games I had Emilee stay home and babysit because it was pouring rain and freezing cold. She was so sad she had to miss the game. She called me every 10 minutes for a score update.

Jason told me that coaching this team was his very favorite thing. I put him to the test and asked: "Would you rather?" ......
...Go snowmobiling, four wheeling, motorcycling or coach football?
...Play on your own softball, basketkball, or football team or coach football?
...Go boating at Lake Powell and wakeboard or coach football?
All of which are on the top of his list of favorite things to do. Especially wakeboarding!!! But believe it or not he chose coaching football. That tells you the fun he had this year!!!!

It isn't easy as a mom to see your little boy take some hard tackles over and over and over. But his Dad taught him to get up brush it off and get back on the line just like it never hurt.

This picture cracks me up! Every time after the boys were finished warming up and getting their last minute practice in they would line up against the fence to relieve themselves before the big game started. I guess it's a boy thing????

Check out the cute girls who held the break through posters every week.

Can you see Max's cute Grandma in the end zone cheering him on for the touch down?

Way to go Vikings!! Until Next Year!

Who needs a Mom?

Lucy is my very independent child! She never asks me for help for anything and just goes on her way taking care of herself. Every morning she is always the first one up. She has this built in alarm system inside her and she gets up every morning at 6:00 a.m. Because I am not usually feeling very good that early in the morning I talk her into going down stairs to color or do something quietly so she doesn't wake anybody up. When I finally go down stairs this is what a find. She is always dressed herself (as you can see the outfit is always very interesting) poured herself a bowl of cereal with milk, and tells me that her homework is all done. She practices writing her ABC's and shows me all of her hard work. She is constantly surprising me with the things she does so independently! Many times she will come down stairs all wet with a towel around her after she has taken a bath by herself. I guess after being the 4th child she figures if she wants something done rather than wait around she will just take care of it herself. I swear I spoon fed Max until he was 5 and if the truth be told he would still rather have me tie his shoes if he can talk me into it.
I have had so much fun having more one on one time with Lucy this past month. She is the best little buddy to have around to keep me smiling every day. I wish I could keep her this age forever!
Some of my favorite little things she says everyday: (Not just once a day but each one of these over and over in a day.)
"Mom did I sleep good?" Every morning when she comes in my room that is the first thing she says. I guess I always ask her that every morning and I think she is just checking to see if it is morning cause it is always so dark when she is up.
"Is your baby doing good?"
"Mom do some people always die?" I'm not sure where that one comes from.
"Poor Chloe, is she living with Jesus at the temple now?" Chloe is our neighbors dog that just died. Lucy loved her and talks about her all day long.
"I shouldn't say hate or shut up, right?" And then she proceeds to say a little prayer to say "Thank you that I say shut up and hate" meaning sorry rather than thank you.
Lucy you make me happy! I love you!
